STONEHENGE

I have change my header background picture from two ladies sitting under the tree in Alton Towers to one of England’s most prominent iconic landmark, Stonehenge. We intentionally visited Stonehenge when we had 3-4 days holiday in Amesbury and stayed in Travelodge (chain hotels in The UK, Premier Inn is more comfy) just to see Stonehenge, Avebury Henge, Woodhenge and any other World Heritage Sites nearby.

Stonehenge is a pre-historic monument located in the English county of Wiltshire.  It is composed of large circular setting of standing stones set within earthworks. It could possibly have served as burial from its earliest beginnings. It is owned by The Crown and managed by English Heritage. For the amount of £7.50 you can tour round the Stonehenge with free usage of Audio Guide.

Here are my photographs of Stonehenge.

Paul and I in the Stonehenge welcome signage near the car park.

This is a wall painting about how Stonehenge looks like many years ago.
