PHOTO CHALLENGE 2013: AN UPDATE

I am very sorry if I have missed couple of posting about my Photo Challenge. My computer station and our internet has been down for few days now due to the refurbishments and the extension being built to our house that will became our new room so I cant have any access at the moment with my files and photos. Anyway, it will be finish very soon so I will do a catch up on my missed photo challenges right away.

PHOTO CHALLENGE 2013: Something New

There is always Something New in our life whether a person, a thing or even a place. I always try to remmember the first things that I have done and the new experiences that I have experienced since I have got my own mind. Not all of them are happy but I always look on the positive sides of it. How about you? Have you got something new lately? Here are mine.

Gadgets: Nikon camera and iPhone 5

My husband’s present for my birthday last year. I already have a dslr camera but he bought me a little one for convenience.

My first proper smart phone. Hubby’s Christmas present.

Places: Angel of the North

Angel of the North in Newcastle. I have been to Newcastle quite few times but it was my first time to see this metal structure.

People: Client from a Learning Disability Centre

I wont mention his name or the name of the disability centre but this MAN amazed me to bits. He melted my heart with his talent of playing the piano. He played Christmas songs and anything you tell him to play he plays it straight away. The talent was just absolutely good and amazing specially him.

It is my first time to showcase black and white photos here and I admit it took me ages to choose photos for this particular post so I decided to share a precious thing that I deeply treasure, my engagement and our wedding rings. The Frozen Rain

Yesterday was one of the most exciting event of my life in the UK because it was my very first time to see the ever white, enchanting, beautiful frozen rain called SNOW. Bit mental you might think but YES, I was jumping and was excited seeing the big snowflakes falling from England’s white sky. It started at around 11 in the morning and started to ease and stopped a bit by 4 in the afternoon so I had plenty of time taking photos and videos. I can say that it is indeed lovely but it’s obviously freezing. Seen few kids sledging from school on their way home and some are playing snow ball fighting. Looks FUN!

The negative side of SNOW is that it can cause major accidents on the road and hazard to the pedestrians. Many people suffered from broken bones as they slipped on the ice and also incidents like car collision not just on the main road but also in villages around.

BEST OF 2012

All of us had our moments of the year who gone by whether it’s with laughter or with tears but still we manage to kept moving and enjoyed every little bits of what we have.

I can say that my 2012 was a very good, fruitful year.

I have accomplished a lot, met new people, travelled couple of times and conquer to pass those difficult times in my life.

I am very glad to share to you few highlights of my year 2012.

March 31- Passed IELTS and got few points which what I opt for.
April 10- My daughter’s dream birthday party in a fast food chain was granted. She received toys and clothes as presents from her visitors.
April 23- I got engage to a very beautiful man. We were in Tagaytay and he proposed to me in the hotel’s restaurant.
June 7- We got my VISA granted after a long, tiring journey of visa preparations.
June 16-19- Went to Leyte to see me Dad’s family side (Nan and all that). We hopped in a truck and drove almost 1 1/2 days to reach Leyte. Everybody enjoyed and all were reunited.
June 25- I set my foot to England’s Land again after a staggering 30 hour trip via Etihad Airways. I had a 9 hour stop over in Abu Dhabi, spent it all on SLEEPING.
October 05- I got married to my fiance in a registry office in Lincoln attended by our family and friends followed by a small reception down the village’s community centre.
October 21- Snoop the Beagle joined the Godmalin Family.
November 18- I had my first BIRTHDAY in the UK. Celebrated it in a pub called Nosey Parker where they serve good-grilled food. I was with my in-laws and my husband of course.
November 24- Went to Middlesbrough to to meet new friends from a Forum I recently joined. We talk the ame dialect so we get well on with each other. We had a little shopping in Tesco and had a sleep over.
December 25- Celebrated my FIRST ENGLISH CHRISTMAS with my husband and his family. I have received lovely presents and witness what do they do on Christmas Day. It was all FUN!

These last few days of 2012 wasnt as good as I expected but I have closed my 2012 with a big smile and a CHIN UP.

I am blessed enough to thank HIM up there and the people that surrounds me who keep on inspiring me to keep moving forward. I am hoping that this coming year will be more good and better than my 2012.
