Visited YORK!

I had an opportunity to visit York when my boyfriend took me there for shopping because we heard that there is a shopping centre that showcase designer outlets only which hit my interest as I love looking and wishing that someday I will wear this clothing and accessories. Not a big shopping happened as we got not much spare penny but just enough for me to give to my little girl as present when I get back to the Philippines.

York is a city in North Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom situated at the confluence of the River Ouse and Foss. York Minster, Clifford’s Tower, York Castle Museum are the most visited and tourists attractions that can be found in York. They also have high street and market that reminds me of Lincoln as it really looks so similar. We also walked through the medieval street in York that is called Shambles. York also has race course, football ground (Bootham Crescent) and a rowing club.

It was a bit showery but I did had fun touring round York for a day. I would swear to go and visit York back if ever I reach England again.

AFTERS (Desserts)

I never used to eat afters when I was in Davao. After meal, if there’s fruits available to eat then I eat it. I am not used to Desserts as what others call it but its different here in England cos they do got desserts after a big dinner. We used to have apple pie with custard, mandarin-oranges and fruit cocktails with ice cream or just plain ice cream.

Bananas

It happen that there are bananas in the kitchen that are good still but the skins starts to get dark spots and due to binning. So what we did was we chopped 3-4 bananas and dish it all in bowls and put 2-3 scoops of vanilla flavoured ice cream on top and done! You already got a dessert. Quick and cheap!

You can add apples, oranges with the bananas or you can dish it up with different flavours of ice cream if you want. You can put cherries on the top of your ice cream if you have or strawberry. Its simple yet delicious and its healthy too. Your not wasting anything and you saved money from buying pies.

A TRIP TO SKEGNESS

As a tourist in a foreign country of course I didn’t let my holiday end without visiting one of England’s seaside. I’ve been to Bournemouth in the very south when we had a  holiday near Stonehenge and had a little day-out with friends in Skegness in the east.

Skegness is a seaside town in East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. Its located in the Lincolnshire coast in the North Sea, 43 miles east of the city of Lincoln where the famous Lincoln Cathedral that Tom Hanks, himself, visited and took some of the scenes for his film “Da Vinci Code”.

Anyways, here are some of the photos I took when we had a day-trip in Skegness.

Didn’t sun bathe or had a little swim as I got no time for it but I enjoyed roaming and walking in the sand of Skegness.

NAILS! NAILS! NAILS!

I always love painting and decorating my nail with nail arts and stuffs. I even got addicted on it too like buying 3-5 nail polishes every time we go into the shopping centres mostly round the Midlands of United Kingdom. I even change nail colors every 3 days or every week when I got free time and when I get a bit bored. We bought some nail art decors in the internet also which went well and good. I collected lots and it almost fill a small box which made me realize that its too much already and I need to stop anyway I can use and blend colours for my nail to groom it.

My NEW Addiction

I am a shopping addict, footwear addict, food addict, milk shakes addict, bag addict, signature clothing addict, all addiction you name it aside from ILLEGAL DRUGS, I have been there. Now, I got a new craze! Ohh dear, oh dear!

I accidentally discover this sweet when I was buying a cup noodles and coffee for my dinner in a local SARI-SARI store (convenience store that can only be seen in the Philippines). They had a big vase of this sweet called Wow! Milkee Polvoron.  I picked one to try but when it landed on my tongue I felt a strange feeling that made my hand move again to the vase to pick not just one but 20 pieces more. Bit shocking but yes, I took it out of the vase, brought it with me and ate it all when I reached home.

Polvoron by the way is a type of heavy, soft and very crumbly Spanish Shortbread composed of flour, sugar, nuts and milk.

I know its not nice to eat it all at once like what I did (I was just got carried away) but it does taste so good. For P1 (one peso) per piece (blue round-shaped polvoron) you will enjoy the taste and sweetness of polvoron.
